Hari Om.
Let us begin the forty fifth sarga of the sundara kAnDam by offering our prostrations at the lotus feet of SrIrAma and our sathguru.
A supercharged hanumAn having vanquished eighty thousand demons returned to the arch, his place of waiting for the combat. He then noticed the towering palatial shrine and in one go, he destroyed it. rAvaNa kept getting the reports of destruction and with mortification he commissioned jambumAli, the valorous son of the commander-in-chief, prahasta. The fierce looking warrior at once launched an attack on the vAnara and hurt him with several arrows. hanumAn in return attacked with boulders and trees which were neutralized swiftly by the arrows of jambumAli. hanumAn decided, enough was enough, plucked a heavy iron beam, swirled it and hurled it at the rampaging demon, stepping up his game. The fellow could not stand this rapidly coming deadly iron beam and before he could react, he was dead beyond recognition, neother his face nor his other limbs could be discerned. The vAnara returned to the arch while a more livid rAvaNa now sent seven warrirors, who were the sons of the minister, all at once. Onwards…
The flaming and powerful warriors who were the sons of the ministers, commissioned by rAvaNa emerged from the royal palace wielding their bows. They were very well versed in weaponry and were keen to outdo the other. Their chariots carried flags, were decked with golden meshes, pulled by powerful horses, they made thunderous noise and with their razzle dazzle they appeared like lightning accompanying the oncoming dark clouds. As they set out, their kin who learnt about the massacre of the eighty thousand demons who went on the offensive were immersed in sorrow. The seven warriors, decked in shiny golden ornaments, rubbed shoulders and competed with one another having reached the arch to launch an offensive on hanumAn.
Generating a commotion with their roars and the noise of the chariots, the seven of them rained arrows on hanumAn like a cloud rains water. Hit by those arrows, hanumAn appeared like a large mountain drenched in rain. Swiftly taking to the skies, hanumAn spontaneously started moving dodging their attack and rendering their arrows and swift chariot movements futile. As he went about dodging the attack, he looked like the powerful wind god who toyed with the clouds!

Then letting out a terrifying roar, hanumAn tormented the large army and swiftly the valorous vAnara started attacking the demons, hitting some with his palm, some others with his feet, yet others with his fists and tore others with his nails. He hit some with his chest, squeezed some between his thighs while a few simply dropped dead by his roar!

As the seven warriors dropped dead, the army accompanying them ran for cover, elephants and horses let out screams, chariots were destroyed, there was commotion everywhere. The broken staffs, axles and parasols of the chariots were all over the ground. The whole of lanka was in great turmoil, screams could be heard everywhere, blood flowed in streams.
The amazingly mighty vAnara having displayed his valour and vanquishing the demons, eager to battle more demons, momentarily returned to the arch.
