sathguru SrI thyAgarAja swAmi seems to have had this episode in mind while composing th mOhana rAga kriti mOhana rAma. I have written about it here. In the caranam of this kriti he mentions how the various beasts and birds were born in order to serve rAma. jAi SrI rAma.
